Mitchell Messina has been in the South African educational field for more than 26 years. Currently he is an Education Consultant and Human Resource Training Specialist striving to empower and enable people to make more effective choices and live a quality life.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Education degree (Cum Laude). For the past twelve years he has been involved with the William Glasser Institute in the USA and attended numerous International Glasser Quality School Conferences.
As a Faculty Member and Instructor of the William Glasser International he is offering Basic Intensive Training in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Lead Management to educators, parents and business people in South Africa. He is the president of the newly formed Association for Choice Theory - South Africa (ACT-SA) and also a director of the William Glasser International Inc. where he is representing South Africa and 17 other countries.
Mitchell is passionate about improving the quality of teaching and learning in schools. He has offered Leadership and Management training to hundreds of Heads of Department (HOD), Deputy Principals and Aspiring School Leaders of the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). For the past year he has been responsible for the professional staff development of educators in all the Curro Private Schools of South Africa.
