Mitchell Messina has been in the South African educational field for more than 26 years - as teacher, principal and circuit manager. For the past fourteen years he has been an education consultant assisting schools to improve the quality of teaching and learning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Education degree (Cum Laude).
Since 2000 he has been involved with the William Glasser International (WGI) and currently serves on their board. As a Faculty Member of WGI he offers Basic Intensive Training in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy, Glasser Quality Schools and Lead Management to South Africans. He is also the president of the Association for Choice Theory - South Africa (ACT-SA).
Mitchell is passionate about inspiring people to live life to the fullest by applying choice theory to their lives. He has offered Leadership and Management training to hundreds of Heads of Department (HOD), Deputy Principals and Aspiring School Leaders of the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). He has also done Leadership and Management training for principals and owners of private schools in Nigeria and Ghana. Currently he is involved with in-service teacher training in all Curro Private Schools.
